Mr. Phan Van Chung was born in Ha Tinh, a region known not only for its rugged natural beauty but also for the unyielding spirit of its people. Growing up in this environment shaped his character with discipline, resilience, and a quiet but powerful ambition to rise above limitations.

In 2010, he graduated from Dalat University, majoring in Oriental Studies. While his academic path laid a strong foundation in cultural understanding and regional history, it was his early experiences as a freelance tour guide that truly awakened his calling. Through countless journeys across the Central Highlands and beyond, Chung discovered his deep love for storytelling, nature, and the connections forged between people from different worlds.

Building Viet Challenge Tours

With a backpack, a vision, and a fearless heart, Mr. Chung, together with his close brothers and lifelong friends, founded Viet Challenge Tours in 2013. Their goal was simple yet profound: to create a travel company rooted in authenticity, driven by local knowledge, and designed to empower both travelers and the communities they visit.

From day one, he took on multiple roles—guide, planner, marketer, and problem-solver—to build the company from the ground up. Each tour was crafted not just as a sightseeing experience, but as a journey into culture, nature, and personal challenge.

Under his leadership, Viet Challenge Tours has grown into a reputable name in adventure travel, offering a wide range of activities including canyoning, trekking, cultural tours, and rural village experiences. The company is now known for its safety standards, personalized service, and passion for showcasing the authentic beauty of Vietnam.
