Golden Bridge-Da Nang Picture wins big price in competition
A photo of the Golden Bridge in Bana Hills, held by two big concrete hands, won the first prize in a global architecture photo contest. This picture of the famous Vietnamese landmark was picked as the best from over 10,000 entries in the "World's Best Photo of Architecture 2020" competition.
The photo, taken by Tran Tuan Viet, got the most likes from users on the Agora app, the world's biggest free photo app.
The photographer - Tran Tuan Viet said that "The Golden Bridge is up high at about 1,400 meters. It has eight sections, and the longest one is 20 meters, making the whole bridge 148.6 meters. The special thing about this cool architecture is that it's held up by two huge concrete hands, symbolizing the hands of the Mountain God."
The Golden Bridge, designed by Vu Viet Anh from TA Landscape Architecture, opened for tourists in June 2018. It quickly became super popular on Instagram, one of the world's top photo-sharing apps.
When you're on the bridge, you can see a wide view of Chua Mountain, known as the most beautiful mountain in Da Nang.
This bridge made it to some cool lists like the world's best travel photos of 2018 (CNN), the World's 100 Greatest Places (Time), and Pictures of the Year 2018 (Reuters).
