During each trip to Da Lat, everyone has their own way to enjoy their trip and relax during a short vacation. Some people like to go to open places, separate from the bustling neighborhoods to breathe cool fresh air and immerse themselves in nature. Others want to immerse themselves in the bustling, crowded life in the city center. For me, whenever I go to Da Lat, I always like to join an overnight camping by the vast Tuyen Lam Lake or on the pine hills.
Before going to Da Lat, I'd booked an overnight camping tour of Viet Challenge at Suoi Tia picnic area. In fact, this is also the first time I participated in an overnight camping tour, so i was quite nervous. When booking camping tours, we were consulted very carefully by the staff. The trip started at 14:00, the tour guide picked us up at the hotel then moved to Tuyen Lam Lake. This is a camping tour combining kayaking, so when we arrived, we were kayaking to enjoy Tuyen Lam Lake first. The first impression when coming to Tuyen Lam Lake is that the atmosphere here is extremely fresh and cool. Our guide was extremely enthusiastic and jovial. We paddled around Tuyen Lam Lake to popular tourist areas such as Happy Hill, lavender flower garden,... To be honest, kayaking is a little bit tired, especially when paddling upstream, however, the surroundings will make you feel extremely worthy. Around you is a vast natural landscape with immense lakes and vast pine forests.
After the kayaking part will be the main part of today's trip: camping with BBQ party. We started camping at 5pm and prepared food together. The atmosphere became cheerful and cozy as everyone gathered together for a campfire and enjoyed a hearty barbecue.
After eating and drinking, people began to organize games and sing very actively. I just sat by the fire and read a book. How gentle and peaceful this feeling is. In general, the evening is light and affectionate, after singing, everyone played some soft songs, each enjoying the atmosphere and watching the stars with their own emotions. Sleeping in a tent is also an interesting experience. The tour has a sleeping bag already available but it is still very cold, you should prepare warm clothes carefully.
The next morning we woke up very early to watch the sunrise. The dawn here is extremely bright and poetic, creating a feeling of light refreshment in the heart. At the end of the camping tour, what is left in me is beautiful memories with friends, feelings of peace, warmth, fun that I rarely experience in the bustling city.
