Shopping in Da Lat can be a fun experience during your holiday in Central Vietnam. This French-built town is known for its colourful flower gardens, fruit farms, and lush forests. While you won’t find immense shopping malls selling the latest in international fashions here, you will discover vibrant markets and fruit farms where you can spend several hours sampling the local lifestyle.

Da Lat Market is a great go-to for locals due to the vast array of wares on offer. There’s also a unique handicraft village not far from the French Quarter. 1. Da Lat Market (Cho Dalat)
Da Lat Market is similar to many of Vietnam’s city markets and is an interesting place to spend few hours and get a feel for the vibe of the real Vietnam. It is made up of more than 1,000 shops in a few multi-storey buildings. The busy market offers interesting goods, especially local produce, from wine to flowers, meat to handicrafts, cosmetics to strawberry sweets, and even household appliances. You can find almost everything here, including cheap winter clothes (in case you are not prepared for Da Lat’s cool weather). 2. Da Lat Night Market
Da Lat Night Market offers a diverse shopping experience for the visiting shopper. Open daily between 17:00 and 22:00, the streets of Da Lat City Centre are lined with colourful stalls selling local snacks, second-hand clothing, and souvenirs. If you’re visiting during festivities such as Da Lat Flower Festival, Tet, and Christmas, there are numerous exhibitions, street parades, and performances by Vietnamese celebrities. You can also see local youths showcasing modern more modern art forms, such as busking, hip-hop dances, and skateboarding. Weekends are the best time to explore Da Lat Night Market on foot as all roads in the city centre are closed off to motorcycles, taxis and buses.

3. L’angfarm
L’angfarm is a modern retail outlet in Da Lat City Centre where you can find high-quality food items in beautiful packaging. Open daily, some of its most popular products include artichoke tea, dried persimmons, fermented rice wine, and sugar-coated mulberry candy. The store also has a rustic-themed café that serves an extensive buffet of Da Lat specialities for VND 49,000. Diners can enjoy over 50 kinds of food and drinks here, including gelato, sweet potatoes, cakes, dried fruit, herbal tea, and pizza.

4. XQ Historical Village

XQ Historical Village is a massive gallery dedicated to Vietnamese paintings, abstract photography, and hand embroidery. Located near the Valley of Love, entry costs VND 20,000 with an additional VND 50,000 fee for a guided tour of the picturesque village. It’s also a popular spot for photography as there are plenty of flower gardens and ponds and the local artisans are often dressed in traditional costumes. After a few hours of sightseeing, enjoy authentic Vietnamese dishes and teas at onsite cafés, or purchase embroidered silk, clothes, and accessories at the gift shop.

5. Da Lat Flower Gardens

Da Lat Flower Gardens can be found on the northern side of Xuan Huong Lake and cover an area of 7,000sqm. As Da Lat is well known for its variety of colourful flowers and plant species, the park is one of the town’s most popular attractions. Established in 1966, orchids, hydrangeas, roses, pansies, mimosas, and peach blossoms are among the 300 types of flowers that are grown at Da Lat Flower Gardens. With such a wide variety of species, no matter what time of year you visit, there will always be a dazzling display of flower blossoms to enjoy. You can also buy beautifully arranged bouquets at the gardens.

6. Biofresh Organic Farm

Biofresh Organic Farm is one of the most popular fruit gardens in Da Lat. Here you can enjoy fresh strawberries at reasonable prices. Located near Than Tho Lake, the farm is home to a large greenhouse where you can spend an hour or two taking photographs or handpicking your choice of ripe strawberries. Entrance costs VND 10,000 per person, while fresh strawberries cost between VND 250,000 and VND 400,000 per kilogram. Open daily from 09:00 until 18:00, Biofresh Organic Farm is a 10-minute drive from the Da Lat French Quarter.
