The name Datanla sounds strange, doesn’t it? It is a combination of the words "Dah-ha" by the K'ho people, or another name called "Da Tam Nnha" by the people meaning "water under the leaves". Datanla is the waterfall of fairies, also known as fairy streams, for the girls to bathe because the fresh water is covered with thousand layers of leaves.
From then on, this waterfall was called Datina when French came to highland plateau; later the people rename it as Datanla which is the name unchanged until now.
Datanla, the majestic waterfall every year has an abundant amount of water flowing from the headwaters to rush over 20 meters to the bottom to release white foam; next to the deep smoking part called the abyss of death. Below the water, there is a clear stream called the Fairy stream.
