AIR
Vietnam Airlines fly daily from Hanoi, Vinh, Hue, Danang, HCMC and Can Tho, see their website here at www.vietnamairlines.com. Vietjet also fly daily from HCMC, Hanoi, and Danang www.vietjetair.com Both airlines offer international flights to and from Bangkok, Thailand en route to Dalat and you can check their schedules on the websites mentioned. The airport is about 40km south of the Dalat city center, and you will find a number of taxis waiting for you outside the terminal, along with shuttle buses to get you into town, a ride of some 30/40 minutes. A taxi ride should set you back no more than VND200,000 ($10) Shuttle bus cost is VND40,000. Both tickets can be purchased from the ticket booth in front of the luggage collection area. Your travel agent or hotel can also help you with flights and transport to the airport.

BUS
With no train services to Dalat, buses are the most popular means of transport. HCMC to Dalat is around 6 hours. The bus terminus is 1km from the city center, and tickets to most destinations in Vietnam are easily arranged there or through your hotel or travel agent. If you have the time, travelling by bus is not a bad option as you get to see the world go by with some wonderful scenery along the way. The trip from Dalat to Nha Trang (130km) is certainly a spectacular one, with the initial stage through lush pine forests and then descending the mountainside following a steep gorge with some breathtaking views. CAR
HCMC to Dalat by car is an easy drive, and the journey will take you around 5/6 hours. Stop off for a coffee along the way, enjoy the trip and keep your eyes on the road. Once in Dalat there is a brilliant journey through to Nha Trang. The roads are good and you will experience some amazing scenery along the way. As always, be cautious on the roads, especially on the mountain descent as there are blind corners, and roadwork is not uncommon. Nha Trang is only one direction, and there are many options to explore the countryside with some rewarding sights and experiences to behold. A few minutes at the rest stop Suoi Da Hon Giao (40km to Nha Trang) will make you feel relaxed and refresh. Check out the motorbike tours, further along in this guide, to get you out and about.
