The section from Bien Hoa to Dau Giay - Dong Nai Traffic Police strictly enforce speed limits and often set up speed traps. An experienced tip is to follow tourist buses or trucks; when they suddenly accelerate, it means there might be police ahead.

It gets very cold at higher elevations like Bao Loc Pass, so remember to wear warm clothes to guard against the wind. (Also, ensure your fuel tank is full because there are no gas stations along this stretch. The pass is about 10km long. Be cautious as there are many reckless trucks on this section. Just stay on National Highway 20, and when you reach Prenn Pass, you're almost in Da Lat.
